Hello To The New HS
Since there are only a few minor things left to complete the new MapleGlobal database, we have decided to release it today -- shiny and new. Most of the new updates (Ereve, Ellin, Knights of Cygnus, etc) which have not been included in the old database are now in the new database too. Certain things we have yet to port over to the new database include the monster drops for Potions and Food, as well as information for Item Synthesis, and we'll be updated them in the coming weeks.
We'd also like to thank our Database Moderators for assisting us tirelessly with the transfer, without whom, this new database would not come into being as "quick" (and we say this with hesitation) as we could now. Many thanks too to our visitors who were patient enough to put up with our non-existent updates for the past few months.
We'd like to apologise that we're unable to reply to every e-mail that we have received in the past few months due to severe time constraints. But rest assured we're working to update/correct our database with your submissions and help. Feel free to post your feedback, comments, criticisms, etc on the new database in this news item; or e-mail us any further corrections/additions/updates that you'd like us to make at [email protected].
Problem with Internet Explorer 6
To those who are still using Internet Explorer 6 (IE6), you may have some problem in viewing our site correctly; the sidebars have extra lines.
We are currently working on it to fix this issue.
Hidden Street Episode 2 RC 1
For the past 3 months, we have been working on a new database for MapleStory - it involves redoing everything from scratch, and after the initial hard-coding part was completed, next that came was the mind-numbingly boring task of transferring every single information from our old database to the new database - and MapleStory has grown from having just Victoria Island in its universe to now encompassing many new lands, exploring themes from the past (Ellin Forest) to the notable Knights of Cygnus classes, and as such, the transfer is a massive, daunting task. And we have our team of Database Moderators to thank for helping us to facilitate this transfer.
At long last, we are just a dozen footsteps away, a few climbs away to the completion of our database transfer, and this site if a preview of it.
Take note that we have still yet to complete adding new, long due information to the new database, but once it has been officially released, the updates should come swift.
Thanks for being patient with us while we worked on the new database - we certainly appreciate any comments, suggestions and constructive criticisms.
